Chapter 5 "Stain novel"

She had always been trying to hold on to her strength since her father died and the catastrophe of bankruptcy began, but she will not weaken now. She made firm strides among the people who filled the university arena around her. Savannah's words and what she was doing for her reverberated inside her. It felt like she had been slapped in the face.

Elizabeth's style in the past is being arrogant and conceited with everyone without caring about their feelings.

She moved, and she saw a brief summary of the day at the university, and when she approached some of her colleagues, she said with a nice smile = Good morning

At that time, the response she received was looks of disapproval and disgust from them, then they moved away from her without addressing her with a word. She felt like a dangerous epidemic and they kept everyone away from her for fear of infection and despite these girls in the past they were running around her like flies in the past both of them were striving to please them to reach

To the support of the professors and the dean of the college, who was paying special attention to her because of his relationship with her father

But now everything disappeared after the death of her father and they became just a lie and a mirage, all she needed now was all her courage not to run away from the whole world like her father and here she realized the strong Elizabeth had finally been convinced of the need to surrender.

Elizabeth finished changing her clothes, put them in the old wooden dresser, and turned to Savannah, who sat on her bed and took out a book she was reading.

She was trying to pack her things to no avail as she was trying to fold one of her shirts which she never had to do any housework she said narrowly, echoing

"I can't do this alone, Savannah. Can you help me with that?"

She said that with hesitation and caution, while Savannah remained silent, reading, and did not care about her. She shook her head in despair, and she got up while thinking about something. She wanted to fix the matter between them, so that she might forget and forgive her for what she had done with her in the past. Then she took some of her clothes that she wore in her father's big parties and approached her.

Hesitantly she said with a quiet smile

_ Savannah, I want to gift you this dress from today.. Consider it an apology from me for what I did in the past

Savannah rose sharply and said out loud

"Not less than you, that I may put myself in your place, and have told you beforehand all that I want from you?"

It's only one thing to ignore me and not talk to me, it's not hard for you

Elizabeth tried to hold on and press herself, and she said quietly

_ But I don't want the situation between us to continue like this all the time. I understand now how rude I was to you and my bad treatment, so I apologize to you and I want you to forgive me

She shook her head sarcastically and replied coldly

_ I don't accept your apology, well, get away from me and leave me alone

Savannah moved with simple steps outside and closed the door violently behind her, while Elizabeth sighed with despair and frustration and sat on the bed with indecisiveness, then raised her eyes and contemplated the small room that included her and her cousin. It was very modest, consisting of two small beds, a small dressing table and a wooden cupboard. I moved here after

The death of her father, and it is her first visit only, despite the small size of the house many times what she used to live in with her father

However, this small house is distinguished by something that she did not have with her father, which is the family in it and the warmth and safety around her despite the small size of the place.

After a short while, Elizabeth got up to go to the toilet and entered the large living room, while Lena's voice rose with Uncle Arkoun.

Elizabeth felt as if a rapid explosion had occurred, but she could not understand anything from their voice.

Lena yelled at her husband again and said

"Are you kidding me, Arkon? How can you pay your full salary to your niece Elizabeth's university?"

Have you thought about us how we're going to live the rest of the month without money Damn the day that bad girl came to that house

Arkoun replied seriously and said with a warning

_Stop yelling so you don't hear the girls outside. I told you I had to. Today was her first day at university and Elizabeth needed the necessary expenses. How can I tell her no and for us we will definitely manage our situation.

Outside, Elizabeth was silent for a moment in confusion, which led to her stupor when she turned to her side to find Savannah in front of her and heard her whisper to her in a low voice.

_ Spying on others is impolite, but it is good that you listened to this conversation to know what my father did for you, and you do not deserve it.

Elizabeth shyly lowered her head and said nervously

"I didn't know that Uncle Arkoun's tuition fees were too high. I'm sorry about that."

Savannah squeezed her hand hard and said sharply

_ What sorry!

Didn't help in this case.

You'd better leave the university and go to another university my father will be able to afford.

Her eyes widened in surprise and she said in a trembling voice

_ What, but this is very difficult. How do I leave the university where I studied for two years and got used to my friends

She added the other and shook her head while looking at her in disbelief and said angrily

_ For once, think of others before yourself, you are really useless. We will declare bankruptcy because of your expensive university, and you still think of your miserable friends.

Then she continued her speech, saying with muffled nervousness, as she said realistically

"Speak to me in a more realistic way. Where are the friends you are talking about when you were in a big crisis? Did any of them come to help you? Of course not, because they don't even deserve the title of friends?"

Elizabeth closed her eyes in excruciating pain and was puzzled as Savannah looked at her with muffled distress and despair and left.

In the evening Elizabeth did not sleep well and kept thinking about Savannah's talk and that she was right that she should do something to ease the burden on Uncle Arkoun until finally she realized that she had to look for a job.

As the sun rose the next morning, Elizabeth made her way to the city. The road was so long that she was very tired and sweaty, despite the low temperature.

Of course it was something new for her, all this exhaustion, and when she arrived she was about to pass out from excessive fatigue, although the city was in full swing, despite the early hours, all the little shops opened their doors as if they had been working all night.

At the end of the day, Elizabeth returned home before dark without getting what she wanted, and also in the following days that followed her early in the morning, she goes to university and finishes her lessons, and after that she goes to look for work, and Uncle Arkoun was puzzled by her delay and spoke to her several times about this

The matter while was her answer

_ I'm sorry I'm late but exams are about to come and I need lessons a lot so excuse me, in the coming days I'll be very late

She was very sad because she was lying to Uncle Arkoun because he gave her confidence, but she knew very well that if he knew that she was looking for a job, he would be rejected, and she decided that she did not stop looking for work, and when she found a job then she would tell the truth, she wore elegant but warm clothes in order to leave

Good impression on people and she is looking for a job.

And in the evening, Elizabeth was sitting on the bed, holding a newspaper in her hand, and looking at a page of a job advertisement, and she was talking loudly

_ A saleswoman in a clothing store.. a worker in a sewing workshop.. a librarian

I was horrified and shocked when I heard a hoarse voice say in disbelief

"Oh, so Princess Elizabeth is looking for a job?"

There was a long silence in the room when Savannah walked in and heard Elizabeth talking while she was reading the newspaper aloud and I understood that she was looking for a job.. Now I understood why she was staying so long outside the house.

It was shocking to her because she thought seriously and imagined that Elizabeth doing one of these jobs would be difficult for her, but Elizabeth said in a trembling voice

"Savannah, I beg you, don't tell your father about this. Otherwise, I'll look for a job to lighten your father's burden."

Savannah walked up to her and said excitedly

_Who said I reject the idea of your business? On the contrary, I will encourage you to do it. For the first time, I watch you do something right, girl..Keep looking for work and don't worry about my father. He won't know anything.

She raised her eyebrows and said in astonishment

-You really didn't tell your father that. Well, I will continue to look for a job, but so far it has not worked for me.. and no one wants to hire me.

Savannah was silent for a moment, pondering and then saying after reflection

_Maybe because you do not have the necessary experience for such jobs, you have never worked before, but you can certainly learn that your lack of experience will not be an obstacle, but certainly these are not the reasons for their refusal to hire

Elizabeth muttered in a soft voice and said with surprise

What do you mean I don't understand?

Savannah shrugged and said with clarity

Of course, no one will accept hiring a girl who appears as if she came out of a fashion magazine when you go with your usual elegance. Anyone can look at you, even from afar, and realize that you are also a rich girl. And when your work is approved, you will ask for a high salary, so forget about luxury and live your life now.

She was silent for a moment, turbulently thinking, then nodded her head positively and thought

How did I not think of this before!

You are right, I need to change myself a little
